The show features art work celebrating the beauty and abilities of the Samoyed dog.

Artwork may be submitted in the following categories:

  • 2 Dimensional
  • 3 Dimensional
  • Photography - Color
  • Photography - Black and White
  • Computer generated
  • Fabric Art - 100% Samoyed Hair or blend*
  • Fabric Art - Samoyed Hair Embellished*
  • Fabric Art - Samoyed Motif*

Artists must specify whether they are entering as professionals or amateurs. If you feel your mastery of the technique is at a professional level, you should enter in that category. If you feel you are an amateur, enter as an amateur. You may consider yourself an amateur in one medium and a professional in another.

  • You do not need to be a member of the Samoyed Club of America to enter.
  • You do not need to be in attendance at the show, but your artwork must be cared for and picked up by a responsible person.
  • You may enter work done by someone other than yourself.
  • All entries must be pre-registered. The pre-registration form is available at the bottom of this page.
  • You may enter as many pieces as you wish, space permitting.
  • Presentation: Please at least matte 2-Dimensional pieces and photographs. Frames are acceptable, but not required. If your piece is easily damaged, please cover it with shrink wrap, acrylic or some other protection, but no glass.
  • Please mark your artwork where it will not show during display. You can mark fabric pieces on the inside or with an attached tag.
  • If artists wish to donate their entries to the SCA 2010 auction, the show committee will accept the pieces with great appreciation. This is NOT mandatory.
  • Please use a separate entry pre-registration form for each item being entered.

* Definition of Fabric Art:

  • Fabric art is made of fiber and may be 2 dimensional or 3 dimensional.
  • There are 3 sub-categories -
    • 100% Samoyed Hair: made entirely of either pure Samoyed hair or a Samoyed hair blend (with wool, angora, silk, etc.)
    • Samoyed Hair-Embellished: not made entirely of Samoyed hair, but have at least some amount of it.
    • Samoyed-Motif Fabric Art: fabric art with some sort of decoration depicting Samoyeds.
